Digital strategies in housing design, delivery and management

@Digital Forum

Registration for this event is now closed.

Join us on 14 November to better understand the challenges of housing delivery as housing associations and councils face a triple whammy of rising costs from safety standards, decarbonisation and the new strengthened consumer standards under the Social Housing Regulation Act. We'll explore how data, design and digital can offer solutions to providing safe, efficient and affordable homes amidst these financial pressures.

The session at a glance

As the new government places affordable housing at the forefront of its agenda, housing associations are under the immense financial pressures of new building safety standards, decarbonisation efforts, and meeting the Decent Homes Standard. Costs are expected to exceed £6 billion and stretch to £40-50,000 per home* over the next 30 years.

How can new and creative approaches alleviate this pressure in the short term and create the space for the more radical changes needed in the long term? We'll discuss this and the following questions at our Digital Forum:

  • How can technology and data transform the way registered providers and housing associations manage their existing stock and deliver quality services to their customers?

  • How can the sector work together on common standards, patterns and approaches using technologies such as AI, to reduce costs and adopt new ways of managing assets and delivering service?

  • How can housing associations influence the government agenda and the support they need to use data, design and digital?

Join us and leading practitioners from across the sector and government on 14 November, for food, drink and stimulating conversation.

Our  line-up of fantastic speakers includes:

  • Michelle Hannah, Director at Cast Consultancy
  • Ami Davis, Strategic Organisational Capability Director at Magna Housing
  • Sheldon Ferguson, Policy Lead for Housing Standards at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government
  • Tom Oliver, Director of Development Programme and Partnerships for Peabody

What is the digital forum?

The Digital Forum is a networking event series for innovative leaders to discuss ways to improve public services. We focus on sharing insights and lessons from successful projects that are changing how we deliver services, making them more user-friendly, adaptable, and effective. Our goal is to foster collaboration among those leading projects that prioritise standards and user needs.

If you’re committed to transforming public service delivery and work in central government, local authorities, or the private and non-profit sectors, we invite you to join us!
